The Great Southern Touring Route

The Great Southern Touring Route offers a great variety of landscapes and activities all in one road trip. Journey from the Southern Ocean to the towering escarpment of the Grampians National Park, and explore big landmarks and tiny moments of discovery through Victoria.

Melbourne

In Melbourne, Australia’s cultural capital, explore hidden laneways, discover cool street art and take in the dynamic food and wine scene. Then you can pick up your campervan from our Melbourne camper hire branch and start your trip! Head over to the city’s beach, St Kilda where you can hire a standup paddleboard or kitesurf.

Great Ocean Road

Next head down to Port Fairy and join the Great Ocean Road. Stop into sleepy little beachside towns, and watch the sunset over the magnificent 12 Apostles limestone towers. Surfers and hikers will love Bells Beach, an iconic surf spot. If you want to get a bit more involved in the area there are a number of volunteer organisations that help to protect the environment, adorable koalas and kangaroos in the Great Otway National Park.

Grampians National Park

The adventure continues through the goldfields of Ballarat and into the Grampians National Park. It is a natural playground for rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, mountain biking and wildlife watching. Stay at a Big 4 campsite and enjoy a couple of days of walking through the breathtaking scenery.
